Graphic Recording training
Listening and then translating content into murals in real-time
Graphic Recording is the best-known form of visualization for organizational development and (large group) conferences. The Graphic Recorder works on small formats or murals, on paper or using digital media, in the background or in real-time on the projector screen.
Worldwide, this fascinating method is becoming increasingly popular – and learning it opens up exciting application opportunities for all who work with groups and organizations. bikablo is a pioneer of Graphic Recording in Europe. Take advantage of our wealth of experience!
This training is aimed at those who might not aspire to become professional Graphic Recorders but who simply wish to use the potential of visual real-time documentation in training courses, process monitoring, mediation, or coaching.
Listening and structuring: You will practise selecting the key messages from a lecture, a panel discussion, or a team dialogue.
Feeding back: You will translate content (sometimes in real-time, while listening) into a structured visualization. For this you will get to know new presentation techniques and try out the time-saving use of text, stroke, and color.
“Bottleneck” real-time situations: You will prepare yourself and your drawing board for a recording session, focus on capturing the key messages as you listen, and use the follow-up time to complete your poster.
Together with the group, you will develop your own individual recording strategy.
Give the poster a face: Decisive for Graphic Recording posters is how well they can express content in a structured way. You will experiment with key images, perspective, and the three levels of poster design.
Forms of representation – which is best in what situation? You look at the different ways in which you could use Graphic Recording in your everyday working life and learn how to find the right balance of text, illustration, and color.
Recording in the dialogue process: To support small and large group processes, you will learn how to use Graphic Recording for reflection and knowledge sharing.
You would like to get to know the possibilities of Graphic Recording to better facilitate/support processes, mediation, or coaching.
You want to get faster, more confident, and more adept at visualizing in dialogue scenarios – e.g. as a facilitator at a flipchart.
Documentation: Following the training, we will provide digital photo documentation with all the input from the trainers and the results of the group.
Handout: You will also receive a digital handout with a wealth of specialist, in-depth material on the training topic.
bikablo online community: You will receive an invitation to join our alumni community with a pictogram library and a knowledge database of literature, links, tools, and software. In the forum, members can exchange ideas on visualization topics, share their own icons, and receive feedback and advice on their designs.
