New bikablo trainers in North America
It’s been eight years since we started explorting the North American visualization market. Jill Greenbaum and Jill Langer have made great progress in the US and Canada and we are grateful for all the work they did in the name of bikablo. Time flies and priorities shift, hence we ran a train-the-trainer program in New York just a couple of weeks ago and we now have new trainers and new energy with Melanie Taljaard and Jennie Hempstead.
ARTIKEL TEILEN
The bikablo global trainer community has always been changing over time, as communities do. For different reasons new trainers join and established traines leave – we are always thankful for all the work and energy that flows into the community.
Working with people from other countries and cultures and experiencing the impact of bikablo despite all the differences is inspiring.
We welcome Melanie and Jennie to the community and we wholeheartedly thank Jill & Jill for everything they have done for bikablo.
JENNIE HEMPSTEAD (USA)
Jennie has over 20 years of experience visually supporting research and science professionals in the defense market, as well as advancing small businesses in the Midwest USA. A graphic designer by trade, Jennie has evolved into a visual translator that informs marketing strategies and visual products, while developing a facilitation practice that inspires and excites participants through her business, Draw on Purpose, LLC.
Prior to joining the Bikablo Global Trainer Team, Jennie received a PSM-1 scrum master certification and is certified in the Strategic Doing facilitation practice. She belongs to the International Forum for Visual Practitioners (IFVP) and the International Visual Literacy Association (IVLA), where she has presented on the topic of graphic recording.
MELANIE TALJAARD (CANADA)
Melanie Taljaard is a strategist, trainer, and facilitator based in Nova Scotia, Canada. She works with organizations to turn ideas into action—bringing together strategy, marketing, and sales with practical implementation. As the founder of More in Store Marketing Solutions, Melanie has spent over 20 years helping teams design systems, implement tools like HubSpot, and move from planning into execution.
Much of her work focuses on creating clarity—whether that’s in a marketing strategy, a sales process, or a complex project. Bikablo was a natural fit. Melanie uses visual thinking to help teams make ideas visible, map processes, and build shared understanding. She believes that when people can see what they mean, they can move forward more quickly and with greater confidence. As a Bikablo Global Trainer, she brings this approach into training, workshops, and client work—helping teams simplify complexity and take action. Her work is often complemented by travel, which continues to inspire her thinking and bring fresh perspective to the way she approaches strategy, learning, and facilitation.
When she’s not working with clients, Melanie can usually be found at Willow & Withers Stables in the Annapolis Valley, which she owns and operates with her husband, Paul. The farm is home to a thriving horse boarding community and is also where Melanie continues to explore the connection between learning, movement, and confidence — both in and out of the saddle.
We wish both of them lots of success and are looking forward to two fresh pairs of eyes and new energy for the north american market. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them.
