Gaston the Painter
Handlettering Class

Hand-Drawn Letter Styles for Visualization Posters and Graphic Recording

+++ We apologize – Training will be postponed due to the Corona crisis. Stay tuned! +++

bikablo proudly presents Gaston the Painter, who travels the world teaching handlettering. Gaston is from Australia and a unique personality in the field of typography, calligraphy, handlettering and shopfront arts. He invites you on a journey to broaden your perspective on the possibilities of lettering in visual communication, including materials which are unusual in visual facilitation and graphic recording, such as blackboards and chalk. This is how he outlines his master class offer:

”Wow! Learn about the art of writing in this two day workshop
with Gaston the Painter!

On Day 1, Gaston will share his knowledge about letters and design, showing examples his work and talking about his experience with Lettering and Signpainting. In this class you will learn 3 different lettering styles: Architect Casual, Painter Casual, and Script! This will be an action-packed day with a lot of writing, so be ready!

Day 2 will be even bigger. Armed with your new knowledge of letter styles, Gaston will challenge you to create your very own design for a poster – and help you chalk it up on a Blackboard! You will learn about composition, layout, another couple letter styles, and many other tips and tricks to learn how to create beautiful blackboard signs!

Join us for this two day Letter bonanza!”
